SOUTH POINTE SEA STARS 2009

The 2008 South Pointe Swim Team welcomes you to our eighth year of competitive swimming in the Naperville Park District Swim Conference. We are looking forward to a busy and enjoyable swim season.

Background Information

The South Pointe Swim Team has been a member of the Naperville Park District Swim

Conference since 2002. We began our first season with 40 swimmers. We now have over 170 swimmers on our team ranging in age from 5-18. The conference is comprised of 23 teams in the Naperville area. The summer swim meet schedule usually runs approximately six to seven weeks with 1-2 meets per week. The conference sponsors two championship meets at the end of the season. The Classic Meet in week seven and the City Meet in week eight.

The South Pointe Sea Stars Swim Team is made up of youth in the area ages 5-18. You must be a returning swim team family or a South Pointe Swim Club Member in order to register for the team in 2008. The team is made up of 3 components: The swimmers, the coaches, and the parents. These three groups work together to make a fun and successful summer season. All swimmers, parents, volunteers, officials and coaches will be governed under the  Naperville Swim Conference By Laws and Code of Ethics. These rules are available for your  review on the conference website. http://napervillepdsc.tripod.com . It is your responsibility to familiarize yourself with this code, and by signing the Volunteer Commitment Form, you agree to abide by this code.

The Mission of the South Pointe Swim Team is to provide an opportunity for:

·          Swimmers to participate in a neighborhood environment that promotes fun,

friendly competition and camaraderie with swimmers on our team and

throughout the conference.

·          Swimmers to improve their strokes and times in an environment where support,

respect, and courteous behavior are modeled, encouraged, and expected.
